DESCRIPTION

X rings also known as four lobed rings are used in variety of dynamic and static Sealing application. The four loaded designed provide twice the sealing surface in comparison to standard O-ring. The double seal action requires less squeeze, thereby reducing friction and improving seal life. X rings outperform standard O-rings in rotary applications. The four loaded design avoids spiral twisting. It allows the use of a more narrow Groove width than a standard O-ring groove.

Where we use X-Ring seal?

They are often used in applications where the seal is required to operate under lower pressure and temperature conditions. Under low pressure, high sealing efficiency can still be achieved with an X-ring as the mold parting line is not coincident with the primary sealing faces.
